Military Power

Military Power is a series of related sites that originally started on April 17, 2006 as a forum on invisionplus but later moved to freeforums hosting (effectively July 25, 2007). October 13, 2006 saw the addition of the blog, which has remained largely unused since it's first creation. Early in October 2006 the main site was set up on a German site, but as the hosting was free and the idea was young, there were no complaints. Later, on June 5, 2007, the main Military Power site moved to it's current location of and files begin being transferred from the previous hosting site. The newest major addition to the Military Power site came on September 13, 2007 when the Military Power Wiki was created.

The Dream

In early 2006, the Founder of Military Power, Chris Jones, was desperately trying to find a forum to discuss military history and weaponry from around the world. In his search he found several such sites, but they all seemed to be lacking at least one of the central components he was looking for, so he decided to create his own.

Central Components

The central components that seemed to be lacking in other sites, or that were seen in other sites and are being striven for in Military Power include:

  1. A multicultural venue for discussion
  2. A pleasant atmosphere
  3. Support of the soldiers and families, regardless of country

The Mission of Military Power

Military Power was founded for the following reasons:

  • To provide information on the military of any country
  • To provide information on declassified military hardware of any country
  • To provide information on Military History
  • To provide information on and discussion of Military Tactics
  • To discuss potential future designs of military equipment
  • To provide resources for finding and receiving access their benefits
  • To help supporters of the military show their support
