EC-130E Commando Solo

The EC-130E Commando Solo is the Psychological Warfare version of the USAF’s fleet of Lockheed EC130 Electronic Warfare aircraft. These aircraft are operated exclusively by the 193rd Special Operations Squadron of the 193rd SOW based at Hamsburg, Pennsylvania.

The EC-130E (Rivet Rider) Commando Solo is equipped with a worldwide colour television broadcasting system which allows psychological warfare operations to be carried out against an enemy’s broadcasting and communications systems.

The squadron is also reported to operate four extremely secretive EC-130E (Comfy Levi) Commando Solo Elint aircraft equipped with a ‘Slide-in/Slide-out’ equipment packages.
