Battle Of Crecy
A decisive battle between the English and French (26 August 1346) during the Hundred Year War. An English army led by King Edward III and the Black Prince were advancing on Ponthieu when they were attacked by a larger French army. The English, largely because of their skilled Longbow armed archers and superior tactical skill, successfully destroyed the French army.
The victory allowed Edward to conquer Calais
